This living situation is ideal for someone with not too many belongings and doesn't take the party home (no smoking in apartment either). You should be clean, considerate and respectful.
Studio space (atelier) = 21m2. Top floor, two big windows with Northern light. Various useful artist furniture: easels, small fridge to keep paint fresh, various stools and tables, and use of palette cart. Everything in this studio is easily movable to create space for paintings and/or still life settings where necessary. An artist who uses acrylics is the best fit for this situation. If you MUST use oil paint, you can not use turpentine, because the living and working quarters are separated by a partition, not a door. Clean up of materials outside in the hallway sink. The area is one of the safest in NYC, Rego Park/Forest Hills. 20 min ride to Midtown Manhattan on train (metro). 10 minutes from Queens Mall and 10 minutes from Austin street, also known as the 5th Ave of Queens, with boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Food shopping and transportation close (3 blocks to subway, V,R local train. E and F express trains 1 stop away). Park 20 minute walk or 3 train stops away. Possibility of borrowing a mountain bike.
